Welding at HEMA Rostfritt is certified to ISO 3834-2. The certificate carries number 2237 and was issued by A3CERT under SWEDAC accreditation.

Welding is a process whose result cannot be fully verified after the fact. You cannot tell by looking at a finished weld whether it is sound all the way in. So it is the process that gets certified, not the product.

ISO 3834-2 is the highest of the three levels in the standard. It requires qualified welding procedures, approved welders, a designated welding coordinator, controlled and maintained equipment, inspection before, during and after welding, and traceability.

The work looked the same the day before certification. The difference is that it can now be shown on paper.
